The Singapore Armed Forces is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year (SAF50) on 1st July 2015, in conjunction with 'Born a Hero', a ground-up project that celebrates women – the unsung heroes behind Singapore’s defence.

The all women-only event is held in celebration of women’s contributions towards Singapore’s defence network, in line with SAF50 (the 50th anniversary of the Singapore Armed Forces’ formation). It is hosted by local celebrity Irene Ang – who is popularly known for her role as 'mother of Ken Chow' in the Ah Boys to Men movies. An evening of entertainment, shopping, and a chance to bring home the grand lucky draw prize of an OSIM uAngel chair awaits.

 

During this all women-only event, you will see the exchange of these stories and more, in honour of women’s contributions towards our nation’s defence!
